These guys, they got it right! This is an AMAZING hardcore 7". Unfortunately they would split up so J Mascis and Lou Barlow could find fame and fortune with Dinosaur Jr. But this, this is NOT Dinosaur Jr!

Neon Christ - Self-Titled 7"
Classic early 80's Atlanta hardcore. After hearing, and loving their track on the P.E.A.C.E. compilation I couldn't wait to hear this 7". And I want to like it a lot more than I do. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad by any means. Just not great. Not sure what the problem is.

Loud and chaotic German hardcore from 1983. There is also a definite 'd-beat' crunch. Great stuff. Crank this up if your ears have pissed you off lately.

Poison Idea - Taken By Surprise 7"
It's hot as hell here so that must mean it's time once again for Seven Inches Of Summer!
To kick things off we have Poison Idea's Sub-Pop single from 1990. The great track 'Taken By Surprise' backed with an excellent cover of the Go Go's classic.
