L.S.D. - Destroy 7"

It's been quite some time since I had L.S.D. on New Year's Eve. But I figured this was a good year for it. So wrapping up Jap-Core month AND 2015 is this heavy and thick 7" from 1984.

Lemmy - R.I.P.

GiL - To Us Conflict Is Not Important 7"

Well looky here, another great Japanese band! GiL only had a couple releases in their short, late 80's/early 90's run. This 7" is from 1988. Don't let the opening song fool you. This thing rips!

Ghoul - Carry Out Fucking 7"

With a name like Ghoul you'd expect another creepy Misfits knock off. Nope! Instead what you get is some damn good hardcore punk rock. Serious bass-heavy thumping.

Rose Rose - Self-Titled 8"

When 7 inches can't possibly hold all the madness, give 'em an extra inch! Rose Rose's debut from 1985 delivers mid 80's hardcore with a metal tinge.

Ikkashinjyuu - Slow Down 7"

In your Christmas stockings today we have Ikkashinjyuu. If Google Translate is to be believed their band name translates to "Family Suicide" in English. Can you think of anything more festive?! This is their first 7", from 1985. More wall of noise insanity!

Kikeiji - Plastic Scandal 7"

Another good driving punk 7" here. This one courtesy of Kikeiji. Includes plenty of post-punk/wavey leanings.

Deadless Muss - I Will... 7"

Growling, crunching hardcore madness. This one is from 1985.

Coma - In A Coma... 7"

A bit slower of an offering to start the weekend. Also a bit moodier. PiL was clearly an influence here. I believe this is their only release, from 1985.

Ziga - Self-Titled 7"

Straight ahead hardcore punk rock today, kiddies. Ziga from 1984. Sadly the three songs are gone in a flash.

Outo - Many Question Poison Answer 7"

Outo pumped out some classic Japanese hardcore in their relatively short stay. This is their debut 7" from 1984.

Tranquilizer - Self-Titled 7"

Today it's the face-melting speed of Tranquilizer. A great and insanely fast 7" from 1985.

The Clay - The Middle East Combat Area 7"

Here's a great hardcore 7" from 1984. For those that love extra heavy "chunk-chunking".

Bitousha - Hiromi's Party, Part 1 7"

Hey everybody! There's a party at Hiromi's! There's a good punk/metal fusion to be found on this quick 1984 7".

Gas - No More Hiroshima 7"

President Roosevelt declared Dec. 7th, 1941 "a date which will live in infamy". Well, you know another "infamous date"? Try August 6th, 1945, dicks. Ripping fast hardcore from 1982.

Masturbation - Self-Titled 7"

No question what this band name means! Heavy rockin' punk, Japan-style. Basic, but in the good way.

Aburadako - Self-Titled 7"

We kick off the weekend with the hardcore insanity of Aburadako, which, if what I've read means either 'Greasy Octopus' or 'Lake of oil'. This is their solid debut from 1983. It's all I've heard by them, but I believe they eventually moved towards a more 'avant-garde' sound.

Gasmask - Self-Titled 7"

We start with a Gasmask firmly in place. I've always had a weakness for 80's Japanese hardcore, and this 4 song 7" from 1985 absolutely fits the bill.

抹殺

December

After bouncing back and forth between a Christmas theme or a No God theme this month I came up with what I think is a better idea. This month marks the 74th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor. So, as the Japanese bombed Hawaii so shall the Japanese punks bomb this blog!

Too soon?
