The Gonads - Punk Rock Will Never Die - The Best Of The Gonads

Garry Bushell is the Godfather of Oi! And here is Garry and his Gonads with their 1994 Greatest Hits collection. Classic punk from start to finish.

647 (F) - Cop Corpse 7"

Another band I know absolutely nothing about today. But when you spot a release called Cop Corpse can you really pass it up? Lucky for us it's a really good 7". I have learned that their name is the California Penal (heh heh, penal!) Code for Public Drunkenness. So, there's that.

Siege - Drop Dead

Ya know, every once in a while you come across a band that is named so appropriately it's just perfect. Example: Courtney Love is bound to be in a band called Hole! Well, Siege is one of those bands. This demo, recorded in 1984 but not released until posthumously in 1993, is a full frontal attack. Fast and deadly. 9 songs in about 17 minutes, and almost half of that is the uncomfortable dirge that ends the demo. Wow!

Real Enemy - Life With The Enemy

Capitol Punishment - When "Putsch" Comes To Shove

I absolutely LOVE these guys. I loved their first 7", I loved their track on the 'Not So Quiet' comp, and I love this 1985 E.P. I even loved them when they changed singers. Damn, I should post more Capitol Punishment.

Faith - Subject To Change

After our pot-fueled party yesterday why not turn to this straight edge classic. It is Sunday after all. So today we have a little Faith. A friggin classic slab of harDCore that for some reason hasn't made it on here yet. Ya know, I used to own the original blue vinyl copy of this back in the day. But I sold it with, shall we say, less-than-straight-edge intentions. Oh well, no use crying over spilled vinyl.

Murphy's Law - Back With A Bong

Murphy's Law brought the 80's to a close with this, their second full length release. Surprisingly, it mainly focuses on partying and raising hell. A few tunes hint at their ever growing fondness for ska. A solid, fun release.

Fuck-Ups - F.U. '82

Ready for some sleazy San Francisco punk rock today? I present The Fuck Ups. Here's an awesome band bio from Last Fm:

The Fuck-Ups were San Francisco, US’s ugliest, most hated band of the early 80’s, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
Singer Bob Noxious was the bane of the early 80’s scene. Disliked by all, including other bands, labels, fanzines and even his own band. He was known for attacking other singers of bands. He attacked Ian Mackaye from Minor Threat on their 83’ tour.
They were one of the meanest bands in there time, real fucken jerks along with Urban Assault, Sick Pleasure and the Lewd.
They also had a notorious following, like the fuckettes. They lived in the infamous squat the VATS.

They released their one legendary ep in 1982 called “FU-82”.Its a fuken classic!! with hate filled songs like “I think your shit”,”I hate You”,”Negative Reaction” Etc…They were also on a few comps like “We Got Power” in 1983 and they were on a comp. with GG. Some demos here and there also.

The Jack Saints - Rock 'N' Roll Holocaust

Jack Saints are another "Napster Found" band. High energy, low brow punk rock from the Bay area.

RC5 - American Rock 'N' Roll

I discovered the RC5 during the glory days of Napster. Unfortunately I don't really know anything about them. They're from... Seattle maybe? I do know it's damn good turn-of-the-century punk rock

Killer Pussy - Teenage Enema Nurses In Bondage 7"

I just love these sex-craved new wave weirdos from Phoenix. Here's their debut E.P. from 1982. If you're interested, here's their 1983 full length Bikini Wax. And finally, if someone out there has their 1984 'Moist Towlette' single we can complete the collection.

Legal Weapon - Death Of Innocence

I really like this band! Granted I've only heard their early 80's stuff. Perhaps I should try to remedy that. I just love Kat's vocals. Here's their 1982 debut. And HERE is their follow-up.

Redd Kross - Annette's Got The Hits

Now here's a punk classic that has somehow never made it on here before now. If I have the story correct this debut E.P. was originally release in 1980 as a self-titled E.P. from Red Cross. 8 years and one lawsuit later it was re-released as 'Annette's Got The Hits' by Redd Kross. Oh who cares, just download it!

Human Sufferage - Self-Titled + Thank You, Mother Dear

OK, we all have a lot of fun being obnoxious little jerks here, especially me. But today I'd like to do something a little different. Here in the states it is Mother's Day. Now, I know a large portion of the punk rock culture came from broken homes, or otherwise tough beginnings. That wasn't my story. Not to say I grew up in a lap of luxury by any means, but I was fortunate enough to have two parents that took good care of me and tried to ignore the horrible racket blasting from my room. My father is now gone and although my mom is still around she is in the throes of the horrible crime of nature - Alzheimer's. So today I'm going to repost, in her honor, one of the few releases I know of that takes on the topic of parenting in a positive light. Ohio's Human Sufferage and their 1984 release 'Thank You, Mother Dear'. Also for something new I've thrown up their first E.P. from 1983. And don't worry, I'll be an asshole again starting tomorrow.

Hickoids - We're In It For The Corn

I've got something a bit different today. The Hickoids hailed from, where else, the Lone Star state of Texas. This is their full length debut from 1985. By chance does anyone have their 7" from 1987 called 'Hard Corn'. Had the record back in the day but haven't been able to find a digital copy.

Crass - The Feeding Of The 5000

Very little Crass has made it onto here for some reason. Like them or not they played a huge part in the history of punk rock. Here's their 1979 release.
