Here, I just plain ran out of steam. The real world has started encroaching more and more until I just don't have enough time to dedicate to my personal passion project. So, instead of witnessing the slow deterioration I decided to pull the plug altogether. While the world closes what has to be one of the worst years of modern times, so shall I close the doors to a true love. The files will remain, as long as they naturally would. And I will even try to check once in a while to fill re-up requests. But, anyone that has made requests recently knows how that goes.
I've decided make our trip down the River Styx with the robust collection of Bad Compilation Tapes. Why? Because I truly think that, as a whole, BCT comps were everything that was right with "the scene". Tons of bands from all over the world sharing what's going on locally. Quality from good to, well, not so good. But I guarantee not one of us complained when we had the new music in our ears. So many people and so many bands did the same thing, but for some reason the BCT collections really resonated with me. And still do.
One last soppy note I want to make is a genuine THANK YOU to everyone that gave a damn. It really is the reason I kept going. And if the tally at the bottom is to be believed there's been over 3½ million visits. And I know they weren't all from me! I sincerely thank you for whatever time you wasted and I hope you got what you were looking for. Yada yada yada....
