Code Of Honor + Sick Pleasure - Split

So this month we're celebrating the great punk rock tradition of the Split Release. That's right, September is 'Splitsville', baby!

We start way back in 1982 with this absolute classic. Actually it's the same band with different singers. Sick Pleasure broke up when Niki Siki started Verbal Abuse, so they just recruited Johnithin Christ and continued. The band salvaged old stuff, recorded new stuff and released this as a split of Code Of Honor's 'Fight Or Die' and Sick Pleasure's 'Dolls Under Control'.

  1. I do love me some splits. That's the way I got in to punk rock back in the 80's, early 90's. Splits on vinyl were where it was at then. This group was cool, too. Thanks. I saw Sick Pleasure live in a basement back in the day. They stayed with my buddy, before going up state, to Buffalo. I just got off the phone with him, and he was telling me about it. The drank his ketchup for some reason. Very common in the day, for bands to sleep on the floor of fans houses, as I'm sure you remember. They were better than the other 3 bands they played with that night. The bass player in dead state, threw a glass forty at a cop that night. And I seem to remember road flares. Also a common fixture on the scene as I'm sure you remember.

    1. Sup Col.?! Great story I had a friend that put up a band for a night or two in like '88 or '89 that ended up being 4 or 5 because they didn't have another show to be at. They ate all his food. Some band called Green Day. i wonder what happened to them? I told him he should demand reparations!

    2. Nice! That would be appropriate, heh... Sue those bastards for food compensation.

  2. Also, since I like your taste, I know I'll get all the split's, like this one, that I don't already have. You really should teach a course on punk rock music. So many people could benefit from your shares. You put stuff up, I don't even have. Plus you post some shit I ain't even ever heard. I wish it was still 1989 some days. Thanks for doing what you do.

    1. Thanks for the kind words, sir. Although the class wouldn't work. I'm not permitted within 100 yards of a school.
