This Canadian compilation with the oh so heartwarming cover kicks off our month long Christmas celebration. Fair warning, posts are going to be a bit more sparse than usual as I celebrate the birth of our lord and savior, Shane MacGowan. He has yet to fully die for our sins but he damn sure seems to be trying! (editors note: I picked him because he was born on Dec. 25th. That's all).
Anyway, I found this one over in Melonville some time ago. And it's as good a place to start as any. An interesting collection to say the least. Much like a huge holiday dinner with the family, there's bound to be a couple people at the table you don't like. But overall, you're glad you came. Fourteen Pacific Northwest bands singing sixteen Christmas songs. Well,
actually fifteen. One band does Nazareth's 'Hair Of The Dog'. A
Christmas classic, right?
