We're gonna end November with some extreme Venice ass-kicking! No Mercy originally began in 1982, right alongside Suicidal Tendencies. By this 1987 release Mike Muir had joined up on vocals. Afterwards, No Mercy dissolved and Muir brought guitarist Mike Clark, as well as a few songs, into Suicidal, basically becoming the future of S.T. This shit is indeed E-V-I-L!

No Fun - Self-Titled 7"
From crazy hardcore to weird punk/new wave. No Fun was a Canadian band that released 3 7"s in the late 70'. This is their debut and I can assure you it sounds NOTHING like yesterdays post!

No Respect - The First Demo
While surfing blogs one day I found this excellent chunk of mean German hardcore. Unfortunately I don't have any more information about the band. And unfortunately, I can't even remember what blog I took this from! I do believe they are the same German 'No Respect' that became a ska outfit. Not sure. Oh well, enjoy this anyway.

Howzabout I offer up a second entry to help everyone get through Monday? This is a demo from No Labels, one of the bands featured on the No Core release from last post. Hard and fast!

V/A - No Core
A classic, and massive compilation featuring 44 songs from 4 early North Carolina bands. Originally released as a cassette in 1982, it was re-released on a vinyl bootleg in 2002. All songs are short, fast and to the point!

No Tag - Oi Oi Oi
Decent, by-the-numbers Oi from New Zealand outfit. Don't know much about the band (as usual!). But here's a little piece I found:
No Tag were the boot boy band and this was an Auckland anthem -
however the happy truth was that in real life they were a placid bunch.
They had a massive live following and scared the hell out of the
distributor with a top twenty chart entry, which they did not expect.

No Security - 40-Talisterna 7"
7 Inches of angry Swedish hardcore aggression! Released in 1987, this is an awesome EP.

No Brain Cells - Practice Tape
Horrible Quality! Well, it is called a "practice tape" after all, although there seems to be an audience present. Short, fast, obnoxious tunes from this crazy UK outfit. I know nothing else about them. Why download this? Well, in the words of the great climber George Mallory: Because it's there!

No Crisis - She's Into The Scene
Good punk/hardcore EP from 1982. I believe this was their only proper release, although Grand Theft Audio put out a career comp in 1996. Pretty decent stuff.

No Milk On Tuesday - Self-Titled 7"
Interesting 1984 hardcore 7" from Connecticut's No Milk On Tuesday. Don't know anything about the band. This kinda reminds me of Peace Corpse. Give it a listen.

No Cut - Tragic A Present Demo
I've said it before and I'll say it again, Japanese hardcore kicks ass!! This 1983 demo is a bit rough sounding, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Damn good stuff!

No Pigs - Self-Titled 7"
No Pigs, from the Netherlands, released this bad ass debut in 1984. They released two more records before the end of the 80's but I haven't heard them. This, tho, is a damn fine 7".

Nomeansno - Small Parts Isolated And Destroyed
Originally forming in 1979 and still going some 30 years later, Nomeansno deliver jazzy, funky punk from Canada. This 1988 release is not bad by any means, but my attention span tends to be too short for an LP with mostly 5, 6 or 7 minute songs. Nevertheless, these guys are very good.

No Use For A Name - Let Em Out! 7"
San Jose's NUFAN started playing mean, in your face hardcore in 1987 and kept it going all the way until their singer died earlier this year. Not sure if they'll be back. Here's their 1990 7".

No Trend - Too Many Humans.....
No Trend was a noisy group of pissed off guys from just outside of D.C. Hard to define and at times just as hard to listen to. The best word I've seen to describe them is 'cacophony'. Enjoy their 1984 release, and also check out a great article here.
You Breed Like Rats, And You're No Fucking Better
The Damage To Date.....
In case you're keeping score at home, I've been up to no good here for about a year now. In that time I've had about 450 Posts and about 470 Releases, including 2 "mix tapes". Surprisingly, to my knowledge there's been only 2 releases that have been black-balled. Even more surprisingly is the fact that there's been over 110,000 page views in that time. That just boggles a simple mind like my own. At any rate, thanks for killing some time with me, and why don't we do it for another year?!?
Now, on to November. Hmm, what can be our theme for November? November. November. Wait! I've got it! Welcome to NOvember!!!
