V/A - First Strike - BCT #1

Bad Compilation Tapes released some 25 or so compilations throughout the early to mid 80's. This is the first, released in 1983 and featuring 9 US hardcore bands. It's a good collection.

BCT #1

I only ever heard a couple of them way back when.  I've decided to make it my quest to find all of them, and hopefully post them all here. But to do that I'm going to need your help. Besides this one of course I presently have #3 - Eat Me, #8 - Rattus and #10 = I'm Buck Naked. A slow start indeed. Can anyone help the good doctor?

V/A - Mystic Radio Presents Covers

Here's another Mystic compilation. This one is all cover tunes. This one is from 1985, and requested by Niteowl83. Enjoy.

Milepost 666

Well kids, we made it! Post #666! Since this is such a special occasion I've prepared for you a collection of my favorite gospel hymns. Including such notable preachers as the Dwarves, Venom, Slayer, Exploited, Bad Religion and of course, Satan himself, Mr. Tesco Vee.

 Collect all three!

V/A - We Don't Want Your Fucking War

Here's an English (mostly) compilation released in 1984. Damn good collection.

V/A - American Hardcore Soundtrack

Since it's the Fourth of July, and all that nonsense, I figured a fitting post would be the soundtrack to the amazing movie 'American Hardcore'. If you haven't seen it by now, you really need to. And this soundtrack is an excellent representation of (as it says right there on the cover) the history of American Punk Rock.

V/A - Let's Die

Here's another Mystic compilation. Hell, I could probably fill up the month with Mystic comps. Maybe some other time. Anyway, this one was released in 1985 and has a good collection of bands, all with a slightly 'darker' feel.

V/A - 'We Got Power' Compilations

'We Got Power' was a Southern California fanzine turned film company. Here's a LINK to all the information you need on that subject. As for the compilations, Mystic put out 3 under the 'We Got Power' banner, between 1983 and 1987. Each contains around 40 bands. Great stuff!

#1 - Party Or Go Home

#2 - We Got Party

#3 - Party Animal
