Raw Power - Self-Titled - BCT #5

I often forget just how much I like early Raw Power, until I listen again. Damn these guys shred! Here's early demos plus live stuff. A little rough around the edges but it absolutely shows the bands... well, raw power.

V/A - Ahhh... Italian Punk! - BCT #4

I'll give you 3 guesses where the bands on BCT #4 - Ahhh... Italian Punk! hail from. If you guessed Italy you're corretto! A great collection including the speed insanity of Cheetah Chrome Motherfuckers and the slower punk of Chelsea Hotel.

V/A - Eat Me - BCT #3

This mostly American 3rd BCT release has lots of low quality (and mis-labeled) White Flag  as well as several other great bands. Another solid release.

V/A - Music On Fire - BCT #2

BCT's second installment takes us to Italy. Some great Italian hardcore is packed in here. A few tracks suffer from poor sound quality but all in all, if you want Italian hardcore, here it is!

V/A - First Strike - BCT #1

Here's a quick re-post to introduce the road we're traveling down the rest of this month. A couple months ago I posted this first release from Bad Compilation Tapes and explained my desire to locate any and all other BCT releases. Many good people read this and sent me links or files to a lot of the series. We still have some holes, which you'll undoubtedly notice along the way, but I think there's enough here to share. And on a side note, if Chris BCT is out there somewhere and doesn't like the idea of free sharing some 30 years later just let me know and I guess I'll have to (sadly) stop the posting. But until then, what's mine is yours.

Wretched Ones - Self-Titled

In honor of Labor Day here's a true band for the working man. I was sad to see them go, but their music remains.

V/A - 'Oi!' Compilations

It's the beginning of a new month and here in America we're in the middle of a long Labor Day Weekend. Labor Day is a celebration of the working class so, to celebrate, we're heading across the pond for a series of early 80's compilations celebrating the soundtrack of the working man: Oi!
Between 1980 and 1984 six volumes were compiled and released by lead Gonad Gary Bushell. If you don't know the story of Oi! I can't imagine you're even reading this. But if you want to read Mr. Bushell's take on the whole thing follow this link.
As I said earlier, six volumes were released. I present to you here only the first four volumes. Why? Because that's all I've got. (I smell a request!)
