Destructors - Merry Christmas And Fuck Off

Behind the rather un-jolly sentiment is some pretty cool early 80's English punk. No, there are no christmas songs, but if the title mentions chrismas it's a christmas release, dammit!

Going Back To The Year Zero

Tad - 8-Way Santa

Ok, so this release has NOTHING to do with christmas. But it has 'Santa' in the title so we're rolling with it! Here's the heavyweight champions of grunge with their 1991 cd.

Help Me Jack Pepsi

U.K. Subs - Live At The Jolly Boatman 12.21.87

Today begins a stretch of posts that might not exactly be too Christmassy, but to be honest, I've been doing this for some time now, and the Christmas pickin's are getting pretty slim! Here we have a 1987 bootleg that catches the punk legends in damn fine form. And the first track is a wonderfully sweet holiday wish.

Where's My Fuckin' Bike?!

Micky Fitz - R.I.P.

Step Into Christmas

Fishbone - It's A Wonderful Life (Gonna Have A Good Time)

So... what are your views on Fishbone? I think they were (are?) an AMAZING live act and a whole lot of fun. Here's their 1987 holiday release and it is... a whole lot of fun.

Cussin' And Coppin' And Playin' Punk Rock

Reverend Horton Heat - We Three Kings

Let's spend one more day in rockabilly land and roast this 2005 chestnut over an open fire. 13 entertaining takes on classics.

Thumpety Thump, Thump

The Amazing Crowns - Holiday Bootleg EP

In the spirit of the season I present this month The Twelve Posts Of Christmas.

We start with what could have easily been included last month. The Amazing Crowns were a really fun rockabilly outfit from Rhode Island. This was a limited edition release and apparently quite rare at the time. I stumbled upon it back in the legal days of Napster. However, as a result, it's incomplete. Not only is it missing track 3 "1965 G.T.O.", I also don't have the "Holiday Greeting" that is at the beginning of the lone Christmas track. Sure, nowadays the entire thing is easily downloaded for a fee, but I'm far too much of a Scrooge to do that. So, can anyone complete this EP for me? If not, just enjoy what I got.
