Union 13 - East Los Presents...

Union 13 began their life in the early 90's and I believe they're still at it. Raging post 80's hardcore from East L.A.

RF7 - All You Can Eat, Vol.1 & Vol. 2

Another great Grand Theft Audio collection to fill up an otherwise boring Wednesday. This one (two actually) featuring another classic LA band. RF7 kicked off in 1979 and, unlike Sin 34 have left us with a large amount of recorded greatness. These two volumes scatter their history between '79 and '99.

Sin 34 - Die Laughing 7"

This debut 7" kicked off the all too limited recorded history of LA greats Sin 34. Great band, but like so many others, they came and went all too quickly.

Sham 69 - Angels With Dirty Faces: The Best Of Sham 69

No matter how you found this dark corner of the web, you're here. And since you've made it this far I gotta think there's not a chance in hell you can NOT like this album. Whether you like Sham as a whole or not, a collection of their best just can't be bad. Such a great punk band.

The 4-Skins - Yesterday's Heroes 7"

Four blokes from the East End got together in 1979 and managed to create some memorable punk classics. This 1981 three song 7" showcases their great early Oi! sound.

Cretin 66 - Burnin' Rubber Outta Hell's Garage

A far more modern garagey punk band today, from Kansas City. I stumbled onto these guys during those wonderful Napster days. Active right around the turn of the century, sadly I think they're all gone now. And unfortunately they didn't leave very much behind. That's too bad, because this 1999 debut full length leaves you wanting so much more.

MC5 - Kick Out The Jams

I gotta be honest, when I started this thing I thought it would be clever to have a unique theme each month. While I still think it is, damn it's hard to come up with something sometimes! So, we go a weird one this month. As you will see in October, your number is up.

We start with the number 5. As in the Motor City 5. One of the absolute greatest bands in the history of music, in my opinion. And somehow, this more-than-classic 1969 LP has yet to show its face on this blog. That ends today because right about now... right about now... it's time to... KICK OUT THE JAMS, MOTHERFUCKERS!!!
