So Here's The Story

I never understood the draw of these silly things until I actually started this. Needless to say I was hooked immediately. It's hard to explain the pride (and yes, the power) I feel when I see someone from the other side of the globe is downloading music I've put out there. Weird, I know. But it gets me thru the day. Some 500 posts later and I'm still enjoying the hell out of this. I don't think I've missed a day since. Which brings me to the topic of this post. We had to know I couldn't keep this pace up forever. After all, I'm old... remember? Also it's getting harder to upload without eventually losing the files (most of my posts are dead). And that doesn't even consider the fact that I've completely neglected checking out other blogs for new music for my damn self!  So I've decided to take a short break from new posts. We'll call that break 'February'. I'm going to spend the month downloading new stuff as well as attempting to re-up some of my dead links. So it's going to get a little quiet around here next month, but don't worry, like a bad penny, I'll be back.

  1. Have fun out there, I know I do and agree to a degree but I do five a week since '08 and I still don't see half the classic write ups in Maximum Rock And Roll from the old days--music that stands on it's own. I just try to save 'em from the landfills. I see the effects of raising the music 'bar' out their as it works on our smarts too to increase it, the brain's power to whatever you "Concieve and believe you can achieve".

  2. Well, you're my favorite, man. So if you got to take a break, I stand behind it. Plus, you've spread the word farther than most of the bands you post ever did. Hopefully you'll find a share site that ain't a low down hoochie coocher. I'll certainly soak up whatever you put on here for the rest of January. Now that all the links from most of the sharing sites are dead, It'll be harder to find wish list stuff, but, the least I can do is keep looking. Thank you, by the way.
