From time to time this month I'll be re-posting Demos that have already appeared at some point. The links have since died and I think they're good enough for people to listen to. So we'll give them a second go. Today we're in Canada, and I'm only re-posting. We start with Ontario's Direct Action. The released one full length LP, Trapped In A World in 1985. But before that they released this demo. A great band, I think.

Let's make one quick stop in Pennsylvania before heading north of the border tomorrow. Youthquake played some good Lehigh Valley Hardcore in the mid-80's. To my knowledge they only released a couple demos. Their first can be found here, and their second can be found... well, here.

Sid Sludge fronted the great NJ band Mental Abuse. But before that he went into the studio with The Out Group. Great tunes full of sophomoric humor.

I never heard of this New Jersey hardcore outfit way back then, and that's a shame. This demo rips. Great hardcore. The sound quality here is a little lacking, unfortunately. I've read there's a cleaned up version kicking around. If I find that I'll replace it.
