F.O.D. began in the early 80's as a ripping fast hardcore outfit. As the 80's turned into the 90's they began moving towards a more melodic (but still fast) "post hardcore" sound. This 1990 release seems as though they weren't able to make up their mind what sound thy wanted to go after. As a result it can be a bit uneven. But still worth a spot in your collection. This is actually the cd release which includes their "Eight Love Songs" 7" which was actually a re-release of their debut 6 song "Love Songs" 7". Confused Yet?

Hey Doc do you have any Glue Gun by chance?

DeleteIf you like this then you should check out shatter your day its better.Great early hardcore from close to me Philly .
ReplyDeleteThey are still at it and have a bonkers new album coming out this year. They don't play much outside of Philly anymore due family obligation but when they do play, holy shit they put on a great show. They are clear into their late 40's early 50's and can play faster than most "fast" bands half their age. I love these guys.
