Brothers Shawn and Mark Stern from California's Youth Brigade started B.Y.O. (Better Youth Organization) Records in 1982 and continue to release music. Over some 30 years they've released some great hardcore and punk albums. Here's the first album they released. A Compilation featuring 8 L.A. bands including Social Distortion, The Adolescents, Battalion Of Saints and of course Youth Brigade.
Head Kicked In!
In 1984 B.Y.O. released their second compilation, this time with sixteen bands not all from L.A.. The standouts are D.O.A., Personality Crisis, S.N.F.U. and Stretch Marks. Another very good compilation.
